August 11, 2008 at 9:30 am #132071I’m having problems getting an article to display on the homepage. I’ve been through the forum and changed the index.php file to :
<jdoc:include type=”component” />
instead of
<?php if(!$tmpTools->isFrontPage()) : ?>
<jdoc:include type=”component” />
<?php endif; ?>However it doesn’t seem to have done anything.
The URL for the site is http://79.171.33.154/~intrform/
Cheers,
Rob.1 user says Thank You to davepain for this useful post

August 15, 2008 at 8:50 pm #265536Thanks guys, I had this problem too and these two posts solved it for me. I wonder why the IF statement doesn’t work?

August 20, 2008 at 2:33 am #266177there is a simple way
I wanted just one frontpage article on the main page
I created a category and a section called ironically, frontpage
I then created one article, assigned it to the frontpage sect/cat and assigned it to the frontpage
then go to your menu manager/mainmenu/home
make the parameters setting as above, but change the article type to article instead of frontpage blog category.
now I have one article on the main page.
