First of all this is probably NOT a Teline problem but it is for sure strange.

I finally updated from Joomla 1.5.3 to 1.5.6 (I didn’t update the Teline template and extensions as I need to do all my modifications first). I had smartSEF patch on the 1.5.3 but it got over written during the update. Now I get 404 on CERTAIN links and others not in JA_news_FP and on all in JA_news.

Pages indexed by Google works fine but internal links are bonkers.
I have all SEO settings to Yes and I have tried with different .htaccess files and settings all gives the same result.

    This is what happens:
The URL’s should look like this <blockquote>http://www.site.com/section/category/article-title.html</blockquote>But it just returns <blockquote>http://www.site.com/section/article-title.html </blockquote>the category part in a few sections is missing in some of the JA_news_fp and in all JA_news. Also if I move an article to another category it works in JA_news_fp but not in JA_news.

    Site http://www.guatemala-times.com

Anyone having a clue what’s going on?

    Hi
I think you shoud update new version of template and extension (backup first), because we fixed some bugs about SEF and access permission
And in joomla 1.5.6 have some different with old version about get URL when turn on SEF

I think we could tick this off as Solved,
The manual update went pretty smooth. Still some stuff missing and so on.
The missing category in the links was fixed except for one of them “Latest News”
Way shouldn’t it be that one? Solved it by splitting them up in 2 new Categories and it works fine (I still wonder way that is).
I will probably get a lot of 404’s from the Search Engines but that is life I believe.
A suggestion: Way not change the numbers on the components when updated? Something like 1.3.1
1.3.2 1.3.3 1.4.0 and so on? It should be a lot easier to see if we have the latest and hopefully the best stuff installed.

Thanks guys for forcing me to do this!
