One of my pages has seemingly randomly turned all font to bold (in items, modules, plugins and module positions) even the font in the footer has been bolded

It is fine in firefox but knackered in IE. This suggests you have not put a closing tag in one of your articles or modules. Unpublish the latest ones and see if that fixes the problem.

Hi thanks for your quick response.

You were right one of my items is the culprit and i know which one but not sure what to look for to stop the problem

Well done. They can sometimes be awkward to track down. F you ever get wierd things like that a quick check in Firefox can quickly confirm if it is a dodgy article as it handles errors so much better than ie.
