I used j wall and the social feed plugin with xampp to test everything. The images from facebook have been transfered with text and thumbnail to the article. The article showed 2 pictures (one bad one) and a bigger good one.
I transfered the data to the server and only the old articles showed up like this. The new imported facebook articles only show one bad quality image without any text.
What did I do wrong? I copied the sql database and the files without any changes.
Any help or advice is appreciated.

Hallo Saguaros,
I did all updates but have the same problem. It is driving me crazy. On localhost it works perfectly. I zip the whole joomla folder, export the sql database and upload the stuff without any changes. Online the (good) picture is missing . If I set the social feed plugin to “update articel” the articles saved offline also loose the (good) picture. So this works straight ;-(
To explain the iusse once more see the pictures. Is this a hosting server issue? Or a rights management problem?
Any advice is very much appreciated.

So it is a hosting server issue! I uploaded the site with an other hosting service and there it works. So what can be problem? The php versions are 5.3.3-7 and 5.3.
On monday I will call the hosting company. maybe they have a clue.

If it works in other hosting server, there must be some problems with your old server. Kindly discuss with them and let me know if you need help.

The problem is solved – sort of. The hosting company did not recommend the “solution” because of security reasons.
So the old server – is the more safe one!
