Hello
i have this strange problem which i never faced beforei am developing website at localhost everything works fine in firefox until i found that in IE 6 & IE 7
the link don’t work.. i mean (see the following code) it’s simple image with link nothing extraordinaire works well in firefox should work in any browser but do not work in IE6 & IE7, when i pass the mouse over the image for IE there is no link :confused:<a href=”/fr/planning.html” title=”Planning”><img src=”images/stories/mods/planning_left.jpg” alt=”Planning” class=”caption” /></a>
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consectetuer cursus tellus ac feugiat tincidunt Read more…Solution i found is even more strange if i removed the class=”caption” IE now see there is a link 😮
i can use in that way but i just cant believe that one class can break the link function, What i am missing ?
can anybody try this on there website or please explain me whats wrong here
thanks

I have read a lot about what IE needs in codes, maybe try to not add the “/” before the relative link… like <a href=”fr/planning,html title=”Planning”>
(You also have no “/” at scr=images (??? MAYBE THAT???)
Also when it is irrelevant with FF or Google Chrome maybe IE makes problems with this…
I do not know it, just a thought!
:confused:1 user says Thank You to wooohanetworks for this useful post
October 9, 2008 at 7:43 pm #274483wooohanetworks thanks for the hint but
what i did is that i created new class say .modimage { }
and added only the information of class .caption {}
now everything works fine, i still dont know how can one class can break a linkso as you say there is still the ” / ” before of the link and yet it is working
nguoiabcd i can not send you the link right now as i am working on the website witch is in local host may be i am going to put it online this weekend, not sure yet…for sure as in past i will show my website:)
as to be curies i really will like to know the explanation i think the best person can suggest that may be someone from joomlart who made that template ….there is something in that template is so strange 😮 and the mystery is in the class “CAPTION”
if anyone from you want to give a try add class caption to any image from module position (user1, user 2 etc.) with a link and you will see that link will be a mystery for IE.

Like i said, this was just a thought, as I just read something similar about IE needing some other code for that or something like that… Good that all works now for you!
