I have purchased a component from RedComponent and I’d like to make it look like the re-designed components in the template. I noticed in the ja_lime/html/ folder, there are a lot of folders which control the style (I’m assuming) of some of the built-in Joomla components like content, user, poll, search, etc. Is there a way to use this method of styling to customize the layout of a third-party component so the component’s styling looks just like the core Joomla components? Thanks!

    Hello jprater1209!

In joomla, you could override most layout of modules & components in folder html of template. You could get more information about joomla override template at this url: http://docs.joomla.org/How_to_override_the_output_from_the_Joomla!_core .

Moreover, you should contact RedComponent to ask them how to override/customize templates for this component. If you have any problems relating css you can post them in here, I’ll try to help you 🙂
