    Hi guys,

I am currently using JA Erica on Joomla 1.5, and am running into an issue that I have spent the past couple of hours trying to resolve. I think I’m missing something simple, but after looking at it for so long, I’m simply confused.

If you go to http://www.learntobe.org/handk you will see our menu across the top. Click on About Us to go the About Us page, and you will see that the About Us button is now active (orange background). Now I created a separate About Us Menu, which you will see on the right side of the page. If you click on ‘Our Mission’, it will take you to our mission page, but now looking at the top menu, you will see that ‘About Us’ is no longer active (the orange background is gone).

How do I fix this so that the menu links on the About Us menu will keep the ‘About Us’ button on the top main menu active? This should definitely be possible as shown on the ‘News’ section of http://www.joomla.org (there’s a News Menu, which when clicked on, the ‘News’ link at the top stays active (black background).

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi nekapoor!
You try to do following way below :
Download attachment file and extract it , copy and overwrite 2 file to templatesja_ericaja_menus folder.
Notice : backup 2 old file.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your help. However, the sub menu for some reason doesn’t show unless I publish another menu. Please see:

    http://learntobe.org/handk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=45&Itemid=61

As you can see, there are two menus, the ‘On This Page’ menu and the ‘About Us’ menu. The problem with the ‘About Us’ menu is that it still does not activate the parent (About Us), but the ‘On This Page’ menu does activate the parent. However, if I don’t publish the ‘About Us’ menu, then the ‘On This Page’ menu does not show.

Any ideas on how to best fix this dilemma?

    Thanks again

P.S. Is there any way to change the ‘On This Page’ title to something else, like ‘About Us Menu’?

    Hi
You can edit index.php (templatesja_erica folder)
    Search this line
    <h3>On This Page</h3>
    Change as you want
