    HI,

I want to show 4 main categories on the home page.
But when i make subcategories i do not want to display them on the home page at first.
Only after clicking one of the main 4 categories the subcategories need to be displayd.
Now everything, the main and their subcategories are being displayed. How can i fix this?

    Kind Regards, Maurits

I am not 100% certain on this, but I do not believe you can limit your main navigation sub categories to display only on specific pages – at least not with one main nav menu.

My thought is that you may need to create separate navigation menus for the separate/specific pages needed – with the appropriate subcategories for those specific pages.

However, since I am not 100% certain I am correct with my thinking, I will forward this onto the JA Development Team for review and (hopefully) further comment as to whether the function you desire can be achievable via one main nav menu.

    Hi Maurits,

As you can see in the homepage of our demo site, it has menu item of K2 categories which will display a list of K2 item retrieved from selected categories.

If you don’t want to show items from sub-categories, you can set the option ‘Fetch items from children categories’ to No in backend settings of ‘home’ menu item.
