December 15, 2013 at 6:26 am #192985Greetings,
The subcategories don’t show and the articles of the sub categories also don’t show. These are my settings. Am I missing something?

December 15, 2013 at 6:56 am #515463Hi
I think it’s working fine as is now
Your category Natural Hairstyles has no subcategories and the page with the blog layout is showing articles belonging to the assigned category

December 15, 2013 at 6:58 am #515464No, now it’s assigned to one category without any subcategories. I want to assign it to the category above that, so all hairstyles are showing.
Natural Hairstyles doesn’t have articles itself but it has more than 4 subcategories. I add articles to check if that was the problem but the subcategories still don’t show when I add articles to the natural hairstyles category.

December 15, 2013 at 7:20 am #515466Now it’s assigned to the correct category: Natural Hairstyles: http://going-natural.com/list/natural-hairstyles/
This is how it looks when it’s assigned to natural hairstyles
I am going to have to put it back to another category because I don’t want to show an empty page but you can check it yourself.

You need to check settings in Content >> Article Manager >> icon menu top right Options and set all your preferred layouts for categories

December 15, 2013 at 4:19 pm #515481Now it looks like the blog layout, not the fixel layout. So I wonder if Subcategory works for the fixel template.
Here is the difference in layout. Both same settings. One is a single category, the other one has subcategories.single category
Include subcategories

December 17, 2013 at 9:09 am #515694Hi simplesite,
I would like to confirm that our Fixel Category Blog supports to display on the grid layout view the articles of main category, not sub-categories. You should create a Fixel Category Blog menu item for each sub-category you want.
