    g’day everybody,

i really enjoy using xenia – guess this is a great template. unfortunately i have a small problem, which i can’t solve. sorry if this has been asked and solved before …

the menu at the top – right above the header module – works fine and displays all submenu-items. the mainmenu which is in left column doesn’t

you can view the site at http://www.ndsy.org/schwaiger

the menuitem “unternehmen” carries a sublink which is shown only at the topnavigation. the strange thing for me is, that the subitems are displayed at left after calling the pages from the topmenu.

thank you very much for your time and for your helping hand.

    greetings from germany,

    oliver

For the left side menu, what type of parameters have you set for this menu?

Have you tried to play with the settings. ( expand menu / activate parent ) Try to play a bit with these settings and see if you get the required look. You could also try to change the “vertical” to “horizontal” to see if that gives you a better “view” on stuff?

yes, i have tried all settings and also combinations. the only setting which leads to a result is activating “expand menu”. but then all submenu-items are displayed by default.

I could be wrong, but it appears that the side menu is in fact not setup like the top, whereas it’ll pop open with the extra links. With the side menu, it’ll be able to be clicked then have the drop down submenus, like this:

    Home
    Submenu1
    Submenu2
    Second Menu

They will only be shown once clicked, and because it’s linked as # it won’t open the new page. This appears to be your issue. What I suggest you do is use another module or create a static page which you’ll link to instead of #

thanks for your solutions, miccas and erik. i will use another menu first. if i can’t get any success, I will create some intro pages to avoid the #-links.

    greetings from germany, oliver
