    I am having the same issue with a recently downloaded rasite file. Is it possible to let us know which file needs replacing within the template.

    Managed to find this solution (that worked)
    ============================================
    to solve the menu problem

    edit the colour .css file and add this to the bottom
    ============================================

    ul.level0 ul.level1 li.mega a.mega {
    background: none transparent !important;
    color: #fff !important;
    }

    ul.level1 li.mega a.mega span {
    background: none transparent !important;
    }

    I just tested this and it seems to work. Try it out and let us know how it works out for you.

    I made this:

    transform the image in a transparent empty file
    css/colors/mainlevel-active.gif

    and on file light-ocean.css i remove the # color of line 329:
    background: url(../../images/light_ocean/mainlevel-active.gif) no-repeat left top #3b6197 !important; (before)
    background: url(../../images/light_ocean/mainlevel-active.gif) no-repeat left top !important; (after)
