Trying to install joomla and learn this thing.
I have successfully installed it using the quickstart package.

I registered as a user and tried submitting an article i get error.
I also noticed that the access lever is set to special

anyone help me clarify the purpose of the special access level.

Hi ryanlama

Have you tried to edit or submit an article using the Article Manager in the Admin panel?

Also, are you using Joomla 1.0 or 1.5?

You mean from the backend? 1.5.
It’s good there as i’m looged in as an admin

What ‘user level’ did you try when you try to submit an article via the browser?

I just wondered what is the deal with the “special” permission category?
If i bump the user to higher than registered it looks like it will work.

I have spent around 20 hrs edtiting all the CSS to look the way i want to still learning 🙂

the submission problem?
this template has it so registered users can’t submit.
Up the level of the user and you should be fine.
