Hello,
Love JA Directory template, trying to use it to its full capability. I am stumped, I installed the quickstart package. The “Submit Listing” opens a Popup with a 404 error in it. I know it is a mainmenu item and currently goes to: external URL with address of index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&task=add&tmpl=component&Itemid=147. Not knowing K2 very well I do not know how to make a K2 submission area. It would be great if the Submit Listing button took you to a form that was specific to a new listing area. Can someone please advise me on this and maybe tell me exactly what I have to do to make tha a reality.
Thanks for your time.
July 21, 2015 at 8:52 pm #578196I found the answer, it is set in the K2 User Groups area of the K2 Component. You must go to your Components>>K2>>Users and set the permissions of teh registered user group so that when people register on your site, they can submit there business listing. I’ve attached an image to show you how I set my user group profile for registered users and it works now. I’d like to edit what they see when they click submit listing, if any one knows how to edit that page, please advise.

August 4, 2015 at 10:01 pm #649637Hi,
I have also noticed that if you enable:
System > Global Configuration > Site > Site Settings > SEO Settings > Enable “Use URL Rewriting”
With this set to “Yes” the “Submit listing” form just returns a error 404.
If anyone has a good solution to allow URL rewrites to be enabled without causing the Submit Listing iFrame to still work, I would be interested to hear? or should this be integrated as a standalone module?

With Enable “Use URL Rewriting” you have to do as
+ Change htaccess.txt to .htaccess file
+ Hosting is support mod_rewrite lib
