Hi
In this case, I suggest you to create a new block which has a module position in it,
and defined this block in the template folder/tpls/default.php file
This documentation helps you to create a new block code.
Add the block under the mainbody to show it below the article.

Thank you for the link. I will go through it and create a new module position. Is it not possible to use an existing module position in the template?

Hi
Yes, you can use them, you can check the present position in the template layout options.
And publish the module wherever you wish to publish it.
