Hello Hope everyone is well – I am going to be doing a site for some friend of mine that have a bad. I am new Joomla ( php in general ) but my host had it so you could install so I have been messing around with it and its great.
Now my question is this I love the – http://www.joomlart.com/templates_club/club_portfolio/ja_zinc.html template and I am getting ready to sign up with membership to get his template.
Can anyone suggest some things for the site that will not cost us a arm and a leg. They wat to have a video section – section for them to upload some songs ( playlist ) A fan section with blog, guestbook, etc. Events calendar for there gis to name a few. On the video section would like to use youtube and just embed into the site due to space on the server.
Any sugestion on this would be greatly appreciated. To get an idea on them there myspace is here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=23655796
Again thanks for your time,
McKenzie

February 13, 2009 at 7:01 am #291037Hi McKenzie,
There are lots of things you can do, many components and modules that will do what you have in mind. And many or most are free.
But if you want to work with Ja-Zinc (Great Template indeed) and get help from the forum here for working on JA templates you will have to become a member first, and then get the help and advice you are looking for. Becoming a member is simple, and fairly cheap. Welcome!

Get the client to upload the Videos to YouTube and then embed this into the site. Easy to do.
Welcome on board.
