I have been looking at JA Templates for years, and have always liked the way they looked. I hired a company to install one for me, and they did so but left me in a lurch as far as support, learning how to use it, etc.
I paid quite a bit for this ($3500), and was very disappointed in the outcome. In short, I need, but am leery of Joomla!!! JA seems to have the best-looking products, but what do I do to get them running. I am not a complete idiot, but I do need some help. Can you tell me how fast a question can be answered? Is the a limit to # of questions?
I have read through threads before. Trying to find my question among zillions is very time consuming. Is membership $s covering any kind of support service? Do you offer higher levels of support? I’d be happy to pay for more help. I will do my own work, but need basic support.
Last question: I need to make a golf guide to show golf courses much like NYMAG.COM shows restaurants, with ratings, menu info, photos, videos, etc. Can you recommend a Template that might be best suited for this purpose? I was actually thinking a shopping cart might do the trick, but I don’t need the check-out part….

One is a forum support, where you make a thread and people respond to it, or you search for your relevant topic using the search functions available. This support is provided mainly by other experienced members and is purely voluntary. Therefore 80% of the time you will receive a response. Apart from members, you receive responses from moderators and admins. The response time for these can vary from minutes to days, there’s no set time as this is purely voluntary.
The other type of support is to submit a ticket, something that comes part of your subscription. The average response time for this service is about 24 hours.
In regards to asking for templates, it really really depends on your skill level. No one can just recommend a template; it 100% depends on what you can do and how far you are willing to change it as any template can be a golf template – it just needs editing.

But the members here on the forum are quite helpful to help getting you started.
About the template its hard to say as everyone have their own taste but you can just try different templates to find out what suits you best.

Hello,As far as your last question goes, there are a few extensions that you can do to achieve this. These extensions will require quite a lot of html , css and php knowledge to get working exactly like you want but you can check them out.
– Sobi 2 – Sigsui online business index 2 – a free component has everything that you have asked for.
– Mosets Tree – Used in the extensions website of joomla, a paid component.Setting it up is pretty easy, but styling and making modifications will require the knowledge I mentioned.
