January 22, 2008 at 5:25 pm #125152With the release of Joomla 1.5 and the JA-Purity template coming with each and every download there needs to be an immediate improvement with the overall support here at JA. This forum will be a magnet to all users trying to use the JA-Purity template (Many new to Joomla) and wanting to see the other templates provided by JA.
This also means that the server needs an upgrade in order to to be able to handle the increase of users seeking help. This is JA’s opportunity to succeed! If you proceed from here on with the past unresponsive support to it’s Template Club members as an example this site will diminish very fast and all will be lost from the benefit of winning the Joomla Template Contest.
It’s time for JA to step up to the plate and take a swing at success!

January 22, 2008 at 6:37 pm #236941Bigrk is very correct your winning Template may become a burden if you are not very careful.
Your server will definitely need upgrading to handle all the extra traffic.
I wonder if the problems with the slow response times can be linked to when you entered the template competitionbigrk Friendbigrk

January 22, 2008 at 6:49 pm #236942It took 45 secounds and then another 30 to load this page and then be able to respond. The time is now for JA to make some decision about what you need to do in order to increase the speed of this website. Otherwise lots of potential customers will start to fall between the cracks and disappear.

I thought JA did u/g their host last year? Promising great speeds etc I did recommend Siteground but think they went somewhere else that was supposed to be the greatest etc ?
I agree With the OP that ja purity will burden the JA design team, however it must be remembered that the existing ( 1.013 included templates solar flare etc carry no support from their original designers to my memory? So why should ja have to support it? While it is an incentive for ppl to join and use the other templates purity even to members is a freebie and as such prolly legally carries no support even for members?
