Hey all,

I’m trying to get rid of the page title, “Welcome to the Front Page” that appears in big type between the top and bottom spotlights. I’ve looked everywhere in the admin area, but can’t find a way to turn it off.

I would think there should be a way to suppress this from the control panel; or do I have to go into the code itself to make the deletion?

me again..

This was a puzzle. I’m new to this joomla thing and still don’t understand why they put things where they do.

Have a look under the Menu Tab , go to Main Menu.
Here you will see a list of menu’s. Your interested in the Home menu. Select it.

This menu is part of a Blog layout. You will see Parameters on the right in the accordion panel.
Look under the System Parameters in the accordion. Page title should be there.

Great find. That would have been the last place I would’ve looked–I probably spent an hour looking everywhere else!

Can hardly call you new at this “joomla thing.” You’re fast becoming a joomaster!
