March 1, 2010 at 10:00 am #149096Hi,
I thought since several weeks for a synchronization system that would allow me to sychronize several recruitment websites.
In my country (like others I think) I am facing to a satured market, so my idea is to develop first a website for a small region (e.g : 100 towns) and work for a good SEO on this region. And after develop on other website for a second region, and so on …
In a second time, I would like to create a big recruitment website who contain all small websites, with all CVs, and all Jobs.
My question is : how to synchronize these websites ? I have founded extensions that allow this kind of features, but I have still some problems :
- One employer post a job on one website, how can I give him the possibility to have the job posted on others websites (the employer could choose one or severals regions).
- One CV is stored on one small website, how can I give to the Job Seeker the possibility to show the CV on one are severals websites, or on the big website ((the job seeker could choose one or severals regions or the whole big region).
Big recruitments websites are now using this process and for a commercial viewpoint it could be very good for Joomlart (many licenses… (with declining prices of course :p)), so I hope that it’s possible.
Thanks

March 2, 2010 at 3:55 am #334288Hi lucine,
It is a nice idea for a long term business plan and online recruitment is a perfect match of the idea.
However, that plan will require a lot of complicated developments of the site, JA Job Board component itself won’t be able to do the job, It will require more extensions like multi-site extensions, single-sign-on systems to be involved.
In the scope of upcoming release of JA Job Board, I dont think we will approach in such huge developments. Our priority will be a stable and powerful job board system not just for Joomla users but also for anyone who want to setup their Niches Job Boards

March 3, 2010 at 7:31 pm #334697Dear Hung Dinh,
I understand that a such development is difficult and that the priority is to achieve a stable release.
However, like I said above, for a commercial success, I am certain that the way is to develop smalls websites with a good local SEO and develop in the same time a big website who contain all the smalls websites.
So since you have answered to my post I thought to an other way (simplest fo you) to achieve my goal.
I don’t need a synchronization plugin, because there are some very good extensions that do the job.
So my idea is to develop each websites (the smalls and the big) with exactly the same configuration, and synchronize all websites. for my clients I need only direct them on a small or on the big according to their needs (with a different price between small and big).
So the only thing that I need from you is the possibility to display or not by the admin panel a localisation.
i.e : a small website contain all localisations in the database (e.g: 100 towns), but only display 10 towns … in frontend.I hope that you understand my request, I hope that my request is simple for you and that it’s possible to include this kind of feature in the next localisation release.
I cross my fingers …
Thanks.
