February 1, 2013 at 11:03 pm #184596Graphed my ID and am currently trying to set up Facebook into JAWALL via JA Social but keep getting this nasty error when verifying my personal pages Facebook ID (Which is 583196948)
Facebook Syndication Error
February 1, 2013 4:55 PM
This feed URL is no longer valid. Visit this page to find the new URL, if you have access: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=583196948
What do I do now? Contact Facebook? Could it be some setting? Have everything set to public.
Thanks in advance – really enjoying my jump into the world of Joomlart

February 2, 2013 at 12:47 am #482100I take it this is your own page on FB. Check your privacy settings if so.
Without using the API directly (which will need you to supply an access token for a user who’s able to access that content) you won’tbe able to access the feed of a page which is restricted.
If you want it to be available publicly with no restrictions (such as via the syndication link), you shouldn’t have any restrictions set.

1.) This is my own FB page – Timeline version
2.) Here is a picture of my privacy settings below. Checked all my posts from 2012 & 2013 – they have been marked public. I have been on Facebook since 2008 and am not sure about every single post but for sure about the 2012 & 2013 content
3.) Not aware of any restrictions I could have placed on my own FB account. Looked at other settings besides the ones in the jpg below and it all looks pretty public
4.) Exactly what Facebook API info do you need? Surely this isn’t a Joomla problem – right?

Thank you Blaine – it is a Facebook personal page. I will begin the procedure to move it to a FB “Page”.

February 21, 2013 at 3:21 pm #484170Hello,
I had the exact same issue on our FB Fanpage – the graph URL showed an error when I entered my user name.
Go to your page and click on the notifications symbol (little graphic that looks like a globe). Then scroll to the bottom and click SEE ALL NOTIFICATIONS. The next page you see will say, Get notifications via: RSS Click on the RSS feed and the correct ID will appear in the address bar. There will be three separate strings of numbers – the first one after ID is the one you want!!
Hope that helps!
