hello
I upgraded today the latest version of the amazon component
i have 2 questions about the system cron.
1. i entered the cron command in the cPanel.
to check i entered as well directly in a browser the url given in the component.
i got the message: (none) 500
i get it means that there was nothing to update to amazon. is it correct ?
the problem is that i had the previous version installed since 2 days. i set the cron to run every 2 hours on this test site. but even though I made some changes in terms of images. the system cron does not seem to update Amazon bucket.
2. does the system cron updates :
the new files
or
the new AND modified filesI did not see any parameters for that option, thus I am not sure what the system cron does.
thank you
August 21, 2013 at 2:44 pm #503031I went a little further by enabling verbose and debug on the wget.
1. as a note, i added an Upload Secret Key in the component options.
thus in the cpanel cronjob i user an url like
*** i changed the domain and key
wget -d -v ‘http://www.mydomain.com/administrator/components/com_jaamazons3/cron.php?key=XXXXX’
i get the following message after running the cron
Setting –verbose (verbose) to 1
DEBUG output created by Wget 1.12 on linux-gnu.–2013-08-21 15:35:01– http://www.mydomain.com/administrator/components/com_jaamazons3/cron.php?key=XXXXX

—————————————————————-do we need to change something in the htaccess ?
August 21, 2013 at 3:51 pm #503035i progressed a little.
the system cronjob is now processing successfully it seems. see below message.
HOWEVER, when i look at the sync profile / view local files in the amazon component, i still sees some folders with the status Never (uploaded) even though i keep the system cronjob run .

August 23, 2013 at 2:09 am #503197Hi latitude26uk,
Please ensure that you have selected “System Cron” option for the “Cron Mode” setting in JA Amazon S3 configuration form, and your sync profiles are enabled.
If cron job still does not work, please send us Administrator account to access your site (in PM), so we can give you a further help to resolve this issue.
