Unfortunately it is not a joke. Today doing a backup via ftp, I realized that the t3-assets folder contains more than 1,700,000 files. The majority of them has zero size.

    What’s going on?

    Hi

T3-assets folder is used to store cached files ,you can simply empty that folder and try if enabling again the css compression it generates so many files

t3-assets folder is unmanageable. There are too many files inside. Can’t open (or empty) with no method. Not even the server’s system engineers have succeeded through the command shell.

The only solution was to rename the folder and create a new one.

Currently, the settings “CSS & Javascript Compress” are as follows:

    Optimize CSS: Join & Minify
    Optimize JS: Join & Minify

    Hi,

This folder is useful for your site, it stores cached file and reduce the number of css/js files loaded in your site. To clean this folder, you can simply click link JAT3 clean cache in top left corner in backend of your site.

    Regards
