Need help! I built a site on a local test server using the T3 blank template and everything was looking great and working great. It looks great in Chrome, Safari, Firefox.

Then, I opened up the site in IE 11, and guess what … it’s totally broken. Nothing displays properly. I assumed the T3 blank would work fine in IE since the online T3 demo displays properly in IE.

So, to make sure I hadn’t done anything wrong, I downloaded the T3 quickstart packagae and installed it on my local test box. I didn’t change anything, and guess what … it doesn’t display properly in IE either.

Any help would be appreciated as I don’t want to have to switch to another template. Other Joomlart templates seem to work in IE, so I’m not sure what the problem is here.

The site is on a local test server, so I don’t have a link, but I can provide whatever info is needed.

    Thanks in advance,
    Joshua

So, I talked with our IT guy and we figured out the issue, which wasn’t an issue with the T3 template at all.

Apparently IE 11 has a setting “Compatibility View settings”, and the option to “Display intranet sites in compatibility view”. This option apprently renders intranet sites using older IE code, which obviously breaks newer sites. We unchecked this option, and viola, the site looks great.

Moral of the story: If you’re building on an intranet, and for some strange reason you are using IE, then disable that setting.
