December 10, 2012 at 4:03 am #182969I recently installed the ‘Quick Start’ application for the Brisk Template.
I am having trouble with the backend control panel for the template configuration. There are language file parsing errors so nothing is showing except:T3V3_OVERVIEW_NAME
T3V3_OVERVIEW_VERSION
T3V3_OVERVIEW_CREATE_DATE
T3V3_OVERVIEW_AUTHORHelp!

January 16, 2013 at 2:14 am #479925Apologies, I can’t seem to edit my previous post. I’ve been trying to fix this for over an hour and I’m about to give up and use a different template. Just to let anybody who may be interested know, if you disable the T3 plugin and just click on the Template via Template Manager, over on the right the heading is “T3V3_PARAMS_LAYOUT”, rather than a proper label. So it seems the issue is not with the plugin, but with the Template.

January 16, 2013 at 6:21 am #479958Hi Nickyv,
I managed to find a work around that makes it possible to display the correct text rather than the language file variables (eg: T3V3_OVERVIEW_NAME).Any comments within the language file are incorrectly commented out:
ie – replace /*Overview*/ with ;overview. Also any lines with embedded HTML tags/css need to be commented out too. simply use a semi-colon at the start of the line.
Its a dirty way to do it but I spent many hours this being the only work around I could find.
There are some sentences that wont be displayed correctly but you will see enough text to actually change the template configuration for what you need.
I hope this helps.
Let me know how you get on

Hello nickyv,Did you use latest version of JA Brisk? I checked quickstart package and didn’t see problem as reported.
Regards.
