    Hi,

    I am working with Joomla version 3.0.3 on T3 v1.2.1 and t3_blank v1.2.1.

    According to the documentation I can assign a different theme from the default one to a menu item, however the method described in the documentation does not work for me.

    The style that is set to “default:All” dominates and nothing overrides it.

    I have as menu items Home1 and Home2 both the same type.

    Home1 is set to current style : t3 blank default ->theme: default ->assignment: Home1 -> default: all
    Home 2 is set to current style : t3 blank default(2) -> theme: green -> assignment : Home2 -> default: no

    My expectation is that “Home2” should have the green theme applied to it and “Home1” the default one, however result is which ever is set to “default:all” applies.

    I have exactly the same behaviour with trying to have different layouts on different menu items. Layout does not change, the template style that is set to “default:all” applies.

    I figure if you have something set to “all” it should apply over everything, however it seems there must be a style set to “all”, since I couldn’t find a way to turn it off.

    Is this a bug or am I doing something incorrectly?

    Update:

    Theme overrides become broken by the hikashop component. Works fine when component is not installed

    Hi drago1147,

    I did get your PM & also checked out 2 example test websites. Yes, the site without Hikashop installation works well with Menu style assignments. It has error on our T3v3 menu css style with Hikashop component, which cause Menu assignments to not work well. >> You need to contact Hikashop component provider to get better support.
    Thanks your for your feedback.

    Regards,

    Leo

    Update:

    Functionality of assigning different themes and layouts to menu items is restored if I make a menu and assign a language to it.

    All works fine if I have a main menu set to language “All” and a menu set to English for example.

    I still have not found out why having only one menu with lanugage set to “All”, theme assignment within T3 does not work with the hikashop component.

    Correction:

    The above successfully applies a theme to the main menu but theme assignment on menu items still does not work

    Hi drago1147,

    Yes. When you set default on a T3v3 template style (also duplicated one), it will be automatically assigned to default All language.
    The duplicated template should be assigned to other language because the original template style will affect your second menu style (All language.) . If you assign only English, It will have own menu style.

    Resolved:

    The problem is caused by the hikashop affiliate plugin.

    For the people that will use T3 with hikashop go to plugins-> affiliate plugin and in basic option diasable “after initialitasion”. This restores theme assignment to menu items.

    Big thanks to Leo for looking into my website and also to the Hikashop support team that found out what causes the conflict and provided me with the solution

    Regards,

    Drago
