    I’m working with Joomla 1.6.5 and T3 Framework 1.2.9.

I created a template based on the T3 Framework.

Everything was working fine and i decided to go one level above: use the language switcher to have an English translation of my French website (i used to use Joomfish for this).

I closely followed the JoomlArt language tutorial and read extensively about Joomla 1.6 and languages.

As soon as i enable the Language Switcher plugin troubles start. The French homepage will display only default content with no module at all (except breadcrumbs, language switcher and copyright), while the English homepage will display nothing at all (except header, logo and footer).

The French homepage behave like a default homepage: the breadcrumbs module is showed even if… i set it not to show on the front page. It’s strange as i translated every modules and there’s no breadcrumbs module set to default.

I worked for a whole month now, night and day, on this new website and it seems i’ll never see the end of it. I had way less problems when i started with Joomla 1.5… and i was totally new to Joomla at that time.

Anyone has a solution for my language problem? I’m out of fresh ideas!

    Kindest regards

I really do think i need some rest… I forgot to assign front page modules to the newly created French language menus.

It now works in French… but not in English. I tried the solution described here (http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/t3-template-allows-only-1-main-menu-in-multi-language-joomla-1-7-installation/) but it doesn’t work for me. Either French or English pages have no main menu at all.

Does framework version 1.3.0 deal with the problem? If it does, i’ll just wait until you have a stable version out. I go live only on September 1st.

I designed a fine new template based on T3, so i don’t want to have to try to find a new solution for my template. It took me countless hours to achieve what i wanted to and you made it possible with T3. I hope i’ll be able to use the new Joomla language possibilities and your framework. It’s important to me and to many people here.

    Thanks.
