August 19, 2013 at 1:20 pm #189860Hi
It seems that T3 in J3 loads a standard plain vanilla copy of bootstrap 2.3.2
rather than the JUI modified versionAnd this creates problems where the modified version is required by other extensions
I’ve recently come across problems with tooltips and the element disappearingI as understand it the standard bootstrap method to invoke a tooltip is to add
rel="tooltip"
in the tag
but using this with the T3 bootstrap causes the actual element itself to be hidden, as well as the tooltip, on mouseoutSo whats the story with this please?
There doesnt seem to be any option to switch bs – on|off|jui or whatever
Is there a JAT3 workaround to these kind of problems?
Or is it just “ki$h my T3 a$h” 😉 ?how is it supposed to work?
thanks
b.

August 19, 2013 at 10:05 pm #502729still looking at this situation.
I dont know a lot about bootstrap so reading a lot and looking thru code.I found this comment in template.php->updateHead()
<blockquote>// As Joomla 3.0 bootstrap is buggy, we will not use it</blockquote>
obviously that’s quite a strong statement.
could somebody from joomlart comment on it please…
it says J3, so is it still true?
if so what are the bugs?
what about the effect on other extensions from JAT3 using a different version of bootstrap than JUI?thanks

August 20, 2013 at 9:52 am #502849Hi bule,
T3 is based on Joomla and Bootstrap.
Though, Bootstrap and Joomla are two independent things. They will not upgrade their version when the other released new version.T3 is a template framework, so it should have latest feature of Bootstrap.
That is why we keep T3 is up-to-date with whenever Bootstrap released.Bootstrap and Mootools have some conflicts and those are easy to fix.
And we also included in T3 some common fixes.
We will cover for other case if necessary.Regards
