It has been quite a while since the release of T3, but it seems as if some of the more popular templates, like JA-Quartz, have not been converted yet. So I have couple of questions:

    1. Has the idea of converting previous template been abandoned? If not, is there a conversion schedule?
    2. It seems as if many of the new templates look more standardized and conservative than the templates release prior to T3. Is this a limitation of T3 that the new templates will follow a standard, conservative form?

Thanks in advance for an answer to these 2 questions as it will help me plan what I will do with Website built on JA templates not converted to T3.

    Hi,

So sorry that your questions have been missed out among post streams

Has the idea of converting previous template been abandoned? If not, is there a conversion schedule?

It is not abandoned but I am afraid that we have not planned a fixed schedule for conversion yet due to current workloads on monthly release, incoming plans for Joomla 1.6, bonus templates and support work. If availabe, the plan shall be published at this forum and blog, mainsite

T3 has no limitation to the look and feel of the template. It is just the concept choice that concidently make you feel T3 follows a standard conservative recently. We shall make notes of these valuable comments for the incoming releases. Thanks
