November 29, 2011 at 5:45 pm #171249For some reason table alignment in my website articles is being ignored. I’m using <table align=”center”> and, when the page loads, the table stays on the left side of the page. I checked the source code, and the alignment shows up correctly.
any ideas?

December 1, 2011 at 4:36 am #427410Hi,
If you apply style=”margin:0 auto;” to the table tag the table will get placed at center wrt the page width. If you dont want to apply it, then I will need to take a look why the the table is not getting center aligned so that you need not apply extra styling everytime you use a table..

December 1, 2011 at 2:26 pm #427465Thanks for the fix. It worked.
I don’t really want to have to remember to add that line of code every time I add a table. It would be nice if you, or someone in Joomlart, could figure out an answer to the real problem…I’m sure there are other people experiencing the same issue. :((
Thanks!

December 2, 2011 at 9:04 am #427548Hi
I tried applying center alignment for a table in a joomla article on my website and it did not show the table at center. So on your site I have added following styling in template.css file and all you need to do is, when you create any table in an article, choose from the list / write class for the table as ‘tablecenter‘ and it will take whatever styling is specified for it in template.css.
