I love the feature that allows you to specify the tab you want to pull up in the address bar via the tab variable, ie;
http://demo.joomlart.com/extensions15/index.php?id=109&option=com_content&view=article&tab=2
It even works on the JA Tabs demo page;
http://demo.joomlart.com/extensions15/index.php?id=109&option=com_content&view=article&tab=1
However after installing JA Tabs in one of my rocket theme templates I found that this is not working, which is an integral part in why I am even using JA Tabs.
Is the t3 framework required to make this functionality work?

April 28, 2011 at 8:50 am #388773No, it does not require T3 framework, have you installed JA Tabs plugin yet?
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=10090
And you should provide your site link , admin account in the ticket:
http://support.joomlart.com/index.php?/Tickets/Ticket/View/71183
That would help us inspect your site.April 28, 2011 at 3:08 pm #388844Yes JA Tabs plugin is installed.
The ja tabs is running out of a module though, does that have anything to do with it?
I have updated the ticket with my site info.

April 29, 2011 at 4:55 am #388941I have tested ja tabs in your site by displaying articles in tabs and it worked fine. Maybe you are misunderstanding something in the usage. Now what do you wanna do? create tab in which page, and what does each tab contain?
April 29, 2011 at 1:37 pm #389013I need to be able to pass the variable “tab” via the address bar so that I can link directly to certain tabs.
You can see what I mean in the two links I first posted or the one below;
JA Tabs is working great and has been from the start, the only thing not working is the ability to pass &tab=1 or ?tab=2 etc. This feature is why I chose to use JA Tabs in the first place, that way I can link to different tabs via a dropdown menu like JA-Events does.
May 3, 2011 at 3:58 am #389531So is this a t3 framework issue or what?
Did you ever understand what I was asking?

May 8, 2011 at 6:58 pm #390311The tabs are the beer taps and the tab content is the beer glass with the description in black box.

May 16, 2011 at 4:56 am #391344I also want to know how to have a link with ?tab=1 or ?tab=2 open a specific tab on a page.
Can you please share the solution?
May 16, 2011 at 4:44 pm #391494So far I have had no luck with Joomlart’s support ticket system…
First they tried telling me that they don’t see Ja tabs on the links I supplied and to check if it’s really installed… I had already explained that I made my own theme for it… so I ended up making a test page with the default look on it.
Now the latest reply I have says that I don’t have the latest Ja Tabs module installed. I am not even using the Ja Tabs module, just the plugin, and it IS the latest version…
So like I said going no where. This issue can be easily replicated by installing Joomla 1.6, then a RocketTheme template, then the JA tabs plugin.
So far in my testing I have been able to get this feature working by installing a Joomlart quickstart then installing the Rocket Theme template, but not sure what extension from the quickstart is allowing this to work.

Hi sharpdome,
You just need to add a varibale like that ?tab=1 into your url query that refer to a page which has a ja tab worked then the ja tab will able to open a specific tab as you wanted.
