Hi there,

Anybody can help me with this.

Is is possible for teline to use the original frontpage component instead of JA News?
I am using Joomla 1.5, When I set my “home” to show “Front Page Blog Layout”, and control that via intro+leading, plus frontpage manager, the front page goes blank.

When you say blank, you mean nothing at all or that mainbody area is blank?

I think if you have the site online(even if its a test site) are you able to give us a url or atleast some screenshots of frontpage and the setup you have on the “home” menu? I have tested out the package here and i am not able to get the error you get:( And please make the screenshots in a size so we can see it clear:)

Now it is reverted so you can use the original Joomla frontpage instead of ja-news module. I did a quick test and it seems to work fine.

You have to ask Menalto for that. He said that is a bug in the template.
He works in my site and solve that.

Hi everybody,
the fisrt i want to say that isn’t templates bug. The designer want to user ja news and don’t want to use normal frontpage there. But if you want to use the content of frontpage you can do like this:

seach these code in index.php
<blockquote>if ( $option != “com_frontpage” || $m_intro || $m_leading) {
?>
<jdoc:include type=”component” />
<?php } ?></blockquote>
Now you see the designer was check if current page isn’t frontpage so it will display content of page by ( if($option != “com_frontpage”) )
So now you have to do is change the code to
<blockquote>
<jdoc:include type=”component” />
</blockquote>
