Hi

I’m currently using Teline II v.1.3. I’m reluctant to upgrade to a later version as I’ve done some quite heavy hacking around of various files, I really don’t want to lose those fixes.

However, I would like to upgrade to Joomla 1.5.5 or even 1.5.6

What are the ramifications of doing this?

What problems are likely?

My site is due to go live in a few days and I can’t afford to lose any time fixing problems. On the other hand, I really don’t want to stay with Joomla 1.5.3 fi there’s a security issue!

You can update via patch from Joomla 1.5.3 to joomla 1.5.5 or joomla 1.5.6
But i think you should update new version of extensions, and try to hack again something as you want

Hi nguoiabcd,

What is needed is also an equivalent Teline II update patch, — just like Joomla does — to include the fixed Teline II files placed in their appropriate directories, to correct errors of earlier Teline II versions.

It must not be the case that users have to update by uninstall/install the entire Teline II each time they want to update.
