Hello all

Would anyone that has prior experience converting from one of the Telline series templates to the next please advise regarding the best method for transfering an active site with thousands of articles over to Teline IV from Teline III

Is it better to redo the active site, or setup a completely new joomla installation with the new template and then transfer the articles by exporting and importing?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Dear wombat1,

As said in the annoncement, the migration has to be done manually. Its just a template and you will need to take all the steps necessary, when you change template.

In this case, install the new template, install the latest version of all the extensions released / required by Telien IV and configure them as per the userguides or recommended backend settings.

Its best to take backup and work on this on a cloned site, so that you dont lose your original site.

if i update the template from 1.00 to the newest one ,do you know if i need to redo all the changes that i made(css, php etc..) on my site …. if yes ..do you know a better way to keep everything intact ?
