June 25, 2010 at 7:27 am #152046I install JCE default for all my clients as my training videos revolve around how to use this editor rather than Tiny MCE which has given me many problems.
JCE works perfect usually however i was wondering if anyone had any experience with this editor within Teline iii. I saw there were problems with K2, which i wanted to use also.
Also i would like to be able to utilise Vimeo instead of Youtube videos and to be able to use JCE, does Vimeo work within Teline iii the same way that youtube does?
Thanks

June 28, 2010 at 8:11 am #348274Thanks, Tienhc.
The problem with this is that it requires the use of tags.
Also the video module in Teline iii also needs tags.
There will be many authors on my site with no understanding of Joomla at all, even the image uploader i have removed for authors.
JCE helps bcacuse i can remove all the visual editor buttons that are too difficult for them or give them too much access to tools they would find complex, so with JCE and an external video plugin i can make this button, but how can i make the tag generated by JCE and video plugin comply with the Teline iii popup modal wndow tag.
I can use JCE popup wndow instead but im sure this might comflict with the Teline popup javascript and i dont want to remove the method Teline iii has for putting articles into images.ALso in relation to video in Teline iii, when i saw the template i thought that the video module on the home page would actually update automatically from videos placed in a video section instead of being a manual method, i cant really see how to integrate the external plugin JCE and this front page module video. How to do this. I have seen the forum post on how to do this but its not complete and doesnt integrate the JCE aspects
I like the way Teline makes certain things available in the core articles with no additional components, it should be easy. All i need is a button on the visual editor that says add youtube video, and the person can put the youtube link. but also to make it work with the pop up modal window tag in Teline iii
Also i have to say that for the type of site where there ar emany publishers, Teline iii method for thumbnails and handling of images in the articles is AWESEOME, just place the fotos anywhere use the caption and a group text and thats it, so good for my publishers, makes it esy for them to learn and so good for me beacuse it makes it hard for them to make crappy article layouts.
JCE is also awesome beacuse it allows to create a folder for images for each author separately on the fly and each author only has access to that folder, this is something many peole want but dont realise that JCE enables this. So Teline iii and JCE is excellent combination, but there needs to be a way to streamline the video and image tags and also the popup window tag so that they work together.
Im sure im missing something obvious but this is why i asked for anyone that might have had experience integrating Teline iii and JCE.

June 28, 2010 at 10:54 am #348303Hi wombat1
I don’t have T3 as a site so have no experience with it, but I use the JCE Media Manager to insert any video (url) and it only seems to use minimal code. http://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/support/documentation/28-media-manager/156-about
Its a paid for extra but ..Hope this is new knowledge for you

June 29, 2010 at 12:58 am #348332Hi Shannon
and thank you, yes i do use JCE on pretty much all my sites and love it. I just want to know how to incorporate the pop up modal window in Teline iii for videos when i use JCE to include them. They will all be youtube and vimeo not locally hosted if that helps.
I also would like to use the JCE function for modals window but i dont want to affect the way Teline does this for the images. Just wondering if it can be done and how.
Thanks for the commen

July 1, 2010 at 2:44 am #348594I think you try to check the configuration the editor plugin, may be there has the strips Special HTML tags function. or you try to disable the editor to test. if the problem is not fixed, pls submit a ticket
Thanks
