Hi all

Me once again 🙂
I’m playing around with K2 (Version 2.4.1). Mostly, it’s no problem. I’ve created some categories with content and some menu entries on one of my test environments.

If I set “Teline IV” and click to any menu entry, I receive a blank site. If I change the template to Teline III v2, it works.

Any ideas what’s wrong ?

It’s difficult to say why it happens without additional information…
Have you tried to set max. error reporting mode (in Global configs) to see if any error message is displayed?

Yes I did, but no error messages are displayed, still blank page 🙁

Have you checked the server logs? Or tried switching on PHP error reporting? It could be lack of memory or one of many other reasons so the only way to diagnose will be to see the error logs.

Try installing the quickstart in a separate location on your server. If that works then you need to look at what might be conflicting on your current install (again, take a look at the logs). If it fails then only the logs will help.

I have uploaded Teline IV quickstart to one of my test invironments. Front-end is very very slow, back-end is ok … All of my other websites which are not quickstart are running normal speed.

Again there could be so many reasons for this that is it going to be almost impossible to say what is the cause. For instance, it could be a server issue, an external module such as twitter or facebook not loading etc. Please give us a link so we can take a look.

Thanks for your PM.

Your install does have a lot of third party extensions installed and any of them could be causing your problems. Having said that your site is loading very quickly for me and when I run a YSlow test I get a very good grade of “C” with an overall performance of 70.

At the moment you have the site in development mode so no cacheing or compression is enabled. When you are ready to go live you can change that in the template manager which should inprove speed further.

Thank you for taking a look. I have uninstalled some of the components, modules and plugins I don’t really need on this test environment, but it’s still the same :-(. Now I will install J 1.5.22 on one of my other environments, including only JA extensions and K2 2.41. Hope this helps :-))

The link you sent me via PM is set to Teline IV with K2 and it is working? Is it a different site that you are having trouble with?

This is just a “playground” where I test before I create productive sites. Unfortunately, it’s still not working. As I have set the default template to Teline III v2, it’s working …

Earlier in the playground site it was set to T4 and was working fine or am I missing something?

As previously stated, the only way to diagnose this sort of problem easilly is to see the server logs. Please take a look at those so we can progress further.
