Many issues with V2 > menu not working, tabs-module don´t show content, user-modification ja-news in the frontpage not moveable…

every plugs and module installed and configured twice… nothing changed..
And still no support, which is useful
I don´t like searching forum for hours and try to fix different suggestions, and end up with the same failures.
And I don´t like TelineIV – how often it was said, that with next Version update and upgrade will be more easier.

Now we are waiting for joomla 1.6 and all ist starting with problems again and again…

Upgrading from V1 to V2 is not a simple task and JA have stated that. The systems are quite different in many ways and if you are struggling the it is probably best to go over to Joomlancers.com and get some help.

As for not having any support, I have read back through your posts and you have had quite a bit. Users and JA Staff have tried to help as much as possible but all your threads seem to end with no response from you. In addition, a developer has asked for a working link to your site but that is still not forthcoming making it very hard for him to continue with supporting you – http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/teline-iii-template-frontpage-solution/

From your previous posts it also appears yo are running PHP4 on your system. Yopu will need to check that and if you are indeed running PHP4 you will need to speak to your host and upgrade to PHP5.

Thanks so far, yes PHP is V 5.2 and something
Yes i got support for extra money, it worked out for Teline II, but after upgrading joomla to 1.518 the whole conifguration disapeared. I put myself Teline III, Yes i got additional help for extra money and this time i got a quickinstall instead of workaround…(new install does not work for existing content-portal) yes it took a long time for response from support, asking if everthing works now, but i had to deny – silence…

So I have to see. support is enough for some people – joomlart-stuff is good for programmers with good coding knowledge
and I looked at some userwork-sites and it semms clearly, most of them are a poor copy of standard layout, most of the features are complicated and lost inside… never saw good examples of using backend tools like profiles.
Configuration in the backend is something confusing justify different modules with srcipting and Id´s – I did not know that template and backend could be such “un-userfriendly” .
But if there is a good chance to fail even if you do just like userguide is telling you – frustration is coming quickly.

I was asking support some questions and tips for help from 3rd party – 4 weeks no answere.
So how many time consuming just installing a template is, many upgrade or updating will come after the final of joomla 1.6, where a good part of core concepts are different again.
I have no experience with joomlancer and sceptic because I worked with people from india, they are well educated and have many technical knwoledge, but hard to get what you asked for…

    Dear lohas,

I would agree with Phil and have checked that your queries have been followed up well, however, you have never responded back well.

For V1 to V2 >> as said there is no migration guide. the steps to follow are as follows :

    1. Take backup.
    2. Make a site clone to work with.
    3. Install the template and upgrade all the extensions to the latest version as provided within the T3 V2 folder.
    4. Either make a quickstart installation in your localhost to use as reference or make a demo site online or follow the config screenshots as attached in the Teline III V2 userguide.

IF the quickstart works on your end, then the template /. extensions once configured should give you the same result.

At the same time, you should put forward your problems with details and login access details, so that the support staff can help you out. No site url , no reply or no access details… the p0ost will be left as it is and the support staff will move on with work at hand.

    Help support to help you.

    Arvind
