    Hi,
    You replace this code from /templates/ja_portfolio/css/template.css

    body#bd {
    background: url('/templates/ja_portfolio/images/bd-bg.jpg') #F5F6F7;
    color: #525253;
    }

    with

    body#bd {
    background: brown;
    color: #525253;
    }

    This will change the background color. Not the template color.
    The control panel is not responding to my action to turn the template color to brown in spite of the change i made. Look at the picture in my previous post.

    Could you give me username + password of backend and a link to your website?

    It may have been the cookies set by your browser too. Sometimes clearing those allows you to see the changed. Whatever happened, well done and good luck with your site. Be sure to show us the finished work.

    Hello Phill,

    You said “cookies”. I also thought of them, but i tried with different browsers on different computers – same result: stuck on blue. It was something else. I still can not figure it out.

    Thanks for your kind words!

    I think that cache of server causes it. So, when you change anything, if there is no effect, you try clear cache of server (Delete all of files of /cache and /t3-assets folder) and browser.

    As Khoand says it was probably just the cache in this case. While you are working on your site please make sure you go into the template manager and enable development mode. Also set css and js optimization to “No” so you are 100% sure that the cache is not used and you can see all the correct css etc to carry out any modifications on.

    As well as the cache some settings are stored in cookies which also does catch out some people. The only other thing that can be stored locally especially in IE is the favicon and for that deleting the temporary internet files is the only way to get the right one to display.
