Hi all,
Pulling my hair out on this, as I can’t appear to overide the deafult view on this template.

When a new user connects to this template, it shows them the mobile/iphone view by deafult, even on a PC. Any way to force it so this is the other way round?

I want the desktop view the default choice, with a button/link for mobile mode instead?

Hi,

Open the administrator panel > in that
Extensions > Template Manager > JA Seleni > click on that
To the right bottom you will see this section

Layout

the Default Layout should be set to Default (in dropdown)

This will show default page to PC users.

Hi, thats where I went the first of all, and it doe s not appear to overide anything at all? Here’s how it was when first installed:

Default Layout: default
Iphone: iphone
Other Handheld Devices: handheld

Result: Page loaded Iphone version by default on IE8

I then tried the following settings, and observed the results:

Default Layout: default
Iphone: default
Other Handheld Devices: handheld

Result: Page loaded mobile version by default on IE8

Default Layout: default
Iphone: default
Other Handheld Devices: default

Result: Page loaded desktop version by default on IE8, but menu’s are missing (they are not missing when you use the 2 prev methods, and press the button to view full site)

Erm, what next?

Hi,

In the default layout try selecting None Selected

If it still does not work, if you can PM the live URL its earier to find what the problem might be
