I have a site with several unpublished categories in virtuemart. I don’t want those categories to be displayed, because I don’t have the products yet.
But in the category template, the unpublished categories are displayed.
I my opinion this is a bug. No unpublished items should ever be displayed on the website.

As an example:
http://promoartcr.com/productos/escritura
The last category, ‘Portaminas’ is unpublished in virtuemart. But it is still displayed on the template.

How can I fix that?

Take a look

Did you tried to clean your browser cache and website cache ?

I hadn’t. I cleared joomla’s cache, and now all unpublished categories seem to be hidden.
