My default template:

is missing a lot compared to the original version which can be found here:

http://www.ihelpcommunity.com/

What do I need to do to make this look similar?

This is because you just installed the template.
Use the quickstart and read the instructions and tutorials 🙂

Yes.
VisiGod said right. If you install template, you must install module, plugin and config follow User Manual
