A “template” or a full-out customized design?

Are there no templates within the 100+ that could be utilized/modified to suit your needs?
The subscription component would have to be added by you anyway.

Currently we do not have any plan of matrimonial template and you must have seen the joomla template showcase >> http://www.joomlart.com/joomla/templates/showcase

i am sure you would be able to zero on few of the designs and adapt them for your purpose. For the membership component, there are many available on the Joomla Extension Directory >> http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/e-commerce/paid-membership-a-subscriptions
