I am new to JA, but not joomla. I have a ‘clean install of Joomla 1.5.10 and tried to upload and install the Cooper template file (tpl_cooper_j15.zip). I got the following error:

There was an error uploading this file to the server.

I tried installing to another (already built) site as an additional template, and got the same error.

I don’t see other posts here with this problem, so is there something different about a JA template that I need to do to install?

hi, pls check your host again, and check your Directories, CHMOD 777 (or your host Safe mod ON)
and check your tmp directory CHMOD 777
(I think Your host cant install any extensions)
and if you have problem pls install quickstart.

I did an ftp of all template files to my site, and that worked fine. Still not completely sure why the zip file did not upload correctly under the template install backend.
