IE8 is in beta, nothing works in it well, and it is a non compliant browser. As stated in other threads on the issue, JA ond other providers cannot make adjustments to the templates for IE8 until the final release is out.
if you search the forum there is a thread on this where i posted a meta tag that you can add to the index.php page that will make IE8 revert back to IE7 non compliant code so your template will render correctly.
As for FF3, i know of no issues, its compliant and everything I’ve seen works fine.
