    Hi,
On the demo template – on your live site – it jumps sideways.
If you are on homepage and then go to “about joomla/more about Joomla” the site jumps to the right and stays there.
I have tried this in IE8 and Mozilla with the same results.
Any suggestions how to fix this would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi,
I am actually looking at your demo site http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#templates.joomlart.com/ja_kyanite_ii .
If you are on homepage and then go to “about joomla/more about Joomla” the site jumps to the right and stays there.

    Thanks,
    Jonas

    Hi,
Thanks for looking at this. I have attached 2 screenshots of what I see in ie8.0.
If you look a the square in the logo of JA kyanite you can see that the “tip” of it is in different location compared to the vertical line in the joomlart menu above. I haven’t looked at all the links but it also happens for About Joomla!/ Joomla! License .

The exact same thing happens in Mozilla. I have tried this on another computer running IE7.0 and the same thing happens.

    Thanks,
    Jonas

    Hi,

The problem is not solved (is the same in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox).
In http://templates.joomlart.com/ja_kyanite_ii/ click in RTL languages, and the template move to the right.

The template moves when passing a section assigned modules on the sides (left-right) to another without modules assigned. Any solution?

    Thanks

    Hi,

No answer in a week about this cuestion? The template does not work correctly on any browser. The problem we have is displayed as shown in the demo http://templates.joomlart.com/ja_kyanite_ii/ and is very clear.

    Thanks in advance.

I couldn’t reproduce the error screen that you have attached. It works perfectly for me in IE8 here.

What you have noticed, happens because a centered fixed width page gets less room with a scroll bar than without. You might even notice a movement to the right for a fraction of a second before the scroll bar is redrawn. This is a non-issue.

    Hi,

Sorry JoomlaGeeks, but in IE8, not working well, I look in three diferents PC’s. (The template does not work correctly on any browser.) The template http://templates.joomlart.com/ja_kyanite have the same problem.
Sorry Steinar, but In http://templates.joomlart.com/ja_kyanite_ii/ click in RTL languages, and the template move to the right.
The template moves when passing a section assigned modules on the sides (left-right) to another without modules assigned.

The template does not move for a split second and then is set back to the original position (the position of the template changes). I have consulted with my company’s three designers before starting this query and the three of them the same thing happens, the customer that we have made the website also it looks bad, so want to fix this.

    Thanks for your help

The reason this happens, is that your browser window has different widths based on the page height. A long page requires a scroll bar, which forces the page to the left for half the scroll bar’s width. That’s why you see a movement to the right when you goes from the home page to the (shorter) rtl or contact page and vice versa.

I suppose it is a quick and easy task to set a fixed left margin for the template, which would solve the “problem”. For my part I prefer the way it is, i. e. centered, but to each his own.

I rest my case. I certainly have my pet peeves, and you are of course entitled to yours.

    Hi Steinar,

    Thanks for your help.
I would agree with you, if only we had looked at with a browser and on a single computer. But we have reviewed the issue several designers, with different operating systems, different screen resolutions and different browsers, and displays all discussed the problem before.
In the past, and in the forum we have received no answer, because what we’ve managed, have always been problems viewing this demo portal.
But we looked at the issue, and it seems really complex to solve (a part of which we hope will not only sell templates here, if not functioning properly and that there is support when there are errors in them). So here we ask for help, and that the template needs to function properly, it does not, and of course our buyer wants solutions in this regard.
In other cases we have found that the demo looked good, and on our website does not, then we fix it and not bother us here in the Joomlart forum, but this is not the case.

    Thanks in advance.
