August 21, 2011 at 3:24 pm #167651Hi,
Template manager > Layouts > Edit
After making an edit in the pop-up window, I click ‘Save’ and the little ‘Save’ icon just spins in a circle and never stops.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

August 21, 2011 at 10:30 pm #407506It is almost certainly a permissions problem. Please make sure all the filders in your templates directory are writable by the script.

August 22, 2011 at 8:27 am #407594Hi wolfix,
why did You use CHMOD 774?
Files should be 644 and folders 755.

September 21, 2011 at 6:31 am #414067As we said previously:
1. Make sure all files and folders of the template and the plugin are writable
2. Make sure there are no JS errorsSo in Your case capitalweb – are You sure about the permissions?

I checked for js errors on the admin page and there were none. All files and folders too are writable, but I the save button still spins forever.

October 11, 2011 at 4:18 pm #418496Hi I have exactly the same issue, I update a layout go to save and the save button gets stuck in the process of saving. If after a while I close the page, the changes have been made, but not if you close it immediately…anyhow it’s not correct.
Permissions are ok for files and folders (644 – 755) and I have no javascript errors on page. Tested on latest versions of firefox, chrome, safari.
Many thanks for the help.Phill ModeratorPhill

October 11, 2011 at 6:56 pm #418523Which files and folders are OK? Check your params.ini file in your templates folder for instance. The script needs to write to that. There may also be a local directory in there too and that and the files inside also need to be writable.
October 11, 2011 at 8:07 pm #418537Hi, the param.ini file is writeable 644 as all the files in the ja_t3_blank folder, I even changed it to 777 and it didn’t change. All files are 644 and all folders are 755. Any other possible causes?
many thanks -
