July 22, 2011 at 10:16 am #166589I have recently upgraded to version 2 of your brilliant Teline III template but have some problems that I need your help with. The template only looks right if set to ‘development mode’, which means that the caching doesn’t work. The problems are that the tabs don’t expand, the main menu looks funny and the logo is replaced with your T3 logo. The same problems occur if I use the JRE caching component that I was using before.
You might need to add your IP address to the .htaccess file in the administrator folder to access the backend. The rebelnews.org site files are located in the public_html folder.
July 22, 2011 at 10:33 am #402519Don’t know if it’ll work for you but I had a similar problem and fixed it by checking folder permissions: in your site’s root, check “cache” and “t3-assets” permissions. It seems obvious but it can happen while manipulating files with a file transfer software.

I had a look in the cache/t3-assets/ folder and it’s got the same 755 permission setting as the other directories in the cache folder. I meanwhile discovered that the non-desktop versions of the site, for exampel the iphone version, also display the t3 logo instead of the correct site logo. I also checked in the template image folder and the logo.png file is the correct one.Ninja Lead ModeratorNinja Lead

Please open http://www.rebelnews.org/templates/ja_teline_iii_v2/css/template.css, add this:
h1.logo a {
background: url(../images/t3_logo_light.png) no-repeat center !important;
}
then upload your t3_logo_light.png to http://www.rebelnews.org/templates/ja_teline_iii_v2/images/.

July 26, 2011 at 11:01 am #403098Andrewwinkler,
There are numerous variations of the template (eg. light, dark etc) and each different profile can have its own logo and its own css. When you create your own custom profiles for instance you can put your own css and images in its own folder which will override the default logo. Take a look through the Wiki regarding this. When you see the JA logo please use firebug to work out exactly which variation of the logo the site is displaying for you and which css is controlling it.

August 1, 2011 at 8:21 pm #404058It seems that the ‘development mode’ selection in the template preferences switches between the CSS files in the /templates and the /plugins folder. I have been able to make the changes to the logo, however the dropline menu still doesn’t look right. There is no padding on the left of the menu item link text, too much padding above and below it, and the menu partly covers the login module, making it difficult to log in. Any idea how to fix that?
I just noticed that in the templates settings under ‘Menu Assignment” there is a message saying that it cannot assign any default menu, although in the profiles page there is the magazine menu and dropline menu selected.
