Are you also getting a file name and line number with this error – something like:

Cannot use a scalar value as an array in SYS:/apache2/folder/folder/folder/folder/folder/updatedDocument3.php on line 64

?

Have you edited any of the files you are working with?
Which components or modules have you most-recently installed?
