I tried to update the Mero template both manually and through the Joomla update, but I get the same error every time which are,

Unknown Archive type
Update path does not exist
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
Unable to detect manifest file

Updating COM_INSTALLER_TYPE_TYPE_ was successful.

and when trying to install the template manually I get this error,

JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist /home/mydb/public_html/tmp/install_5134bb772dde5/css-compiled

Can anyone help me with this?

Because JA Mero is our commercial templates.

You need to use JA Extension Manager component to upgrade. But you need to check in:
<blockquote>Admin area->Component->JA Extension Manager</blockquote>
and provide account for “JoomlArt Updater Service” (Click on edit link of JoomlArt Updater Service on JAEM, you will see the form to enter your account into)

Please confirm the product that you want to upgrade belongs to club that you signed up and in-process to upgrade new version from JA Extension Manager.
