When I initially signed up for JoomlaArt subscription I was careful to check that there was compatibility for 1.0x and 1.5 as I have a number of clients with older installs. An existing client required a design upgrade and I pointed them to your available templates – I foolishly didn’t check that the recent templates were available as a 1.0x compatible download. After taking an age to decide by committee they finally committed to JA NIckel and I agreeded to download and apply the template. Unfortunately however it would appear only to be available as a 1.5 template – is this right? If so is there anyone that can help convert it back to a version 1 compatible template. I don’t need the additional extensions or modules but just the appearance to be the same. Any help would be much appreciated.

July 6, 2009 at 6:05 pm #310169Why not migrate the site from J1.0 to J1.5?
July 6, 2009 at 6:09 pm #310170It is not my system, the site is powered by a mix of joomla and another cms which at present is only compatible with version 1.0x. When I realised this today I was shocked – any reccomendations. Would someone within JA be able to do it for a cost?

July 6, 2009 at 6:35 pm #310171There basically is not a lot involved in switching the template back but you can run into unforeseen problems with menus etc. Do a google search for converting from 1.0 to 1.5 and just go backwards.
Here’s one site…. http://joomlatp.com/joomla-1.5-tutorials/4-steps-convert-joomla-1.0-templates-to-1.5.html
July 6, 2009 at 6:43 pm #310172Thanks, I did try quickly this afternoon but was running into ‘said’ problems. I am just not profficient enough in templates to know how to solve these issues. I will give it another shot later but if anyone feels confident that they can do it quickly I would be more than happy to discuss paying for their services.
July 7, 2009 at 11:25 pm #310310I need to convert JA Nickel to be compatible with Joomla 1.0x and I am willing to pay. I don’t need the extra components, etc. I only need the template to look the same. Any help would be gratefully accepted. Please email me, please.
