    Since it’s inevitable that HTML 5 will eventually be adopted – with all of it’s additional functionality and such – I am thinking that it might be a good idea to start making JA templates HTML 5 ready NOW . . . that is, if they aren’t already.

    For the most part, it’s just a bit of code to add in the proper files, correct?

    It’s not about making them HTML5 “ready” – it’s about taking advantage of the new features of HTML5. Like the transition from CSS2 to CSS3. No point in saying a template uses CSS3 unless it actually uses some CSS3 feature.

    As most browsers support little or no features of HTML5 yet I’d say there is a couple of years (yes, years!) to go before template designers are really pushing HTML5. You might get one or two advertising it as a marketing ‘ploy’ but until you have a browser that can really show off 5 then there’s no point.
